Definition
Theme: An idea that recurs in or pervades in a work of art or literature
How to use themes in your writing
-
Themes usually spring from two sources:
-
Something the author decides beforehand
-
Something that appears as a consequence of the primary conflict in the book
-
-
Themes are something to think about as you write and look for once you've already written.
